Women's Faith and Fellowship - Monday Evenings
We will start our studies off for 2023 on January 16th at 6:30 pm in the Little Church basement by listening to the introduction to The Discernment of Spirits: An Ignatian Guide for Everyday Living with Fr. Timothy Gallagher on formed.org.
This is a 14-week book and 16-week podcast series, each approximately 30 minutes long. For those who want to dig deeper, a book by the same title is available for purchase but all are welcome to come and listen and discuss as Fr. Gallagher helps us understand the Rules and how their insights are essential for our spiritual growth today. By integrating the 14 rules and the experience of "regular" everyday people, Gallagher shows the precision, clarity and insight of Ignatius's Rules as well as the relevance of his thought for spiritual life today. This study is for all who desire greater awareness of God's action in their daily spiritual lives and keeping our movements TOWARD God - not allowing ourselves to be led away from God by the enemy.
Again, one is not required to purchase or read any material, although it would deepen conversations after listening to the audio. This study is designed to be equally palatable for those who want to dig deep with Ignatius and also for those who only have time to carve out a Monday evening for meetings.
